Course content
This course evolves scientific knowledge of courses Basics of Farm Animal Feeding and Nutrition, Feeding and Nutrition of Farm Animals and Feed Treatment and Evaluation. The course contents mainly problems of concentrate feeds and their utilization for the other using in feed industry. The condition for their using is knowledge of initial control analyses, knowledge and management of methods and storage conditions and commodity modification. It is important to manage legislative of CR and EU because a lot of raw materials comes from abroad. The attention is given to calculation of feed mixtures, concentrates and premixes with specific determination.

Learning outcomes
The course deepens the basic knowledge of nutrition and feeding of livestock. The aim is to acquaint students with the decrees and basic legislation of the EU and the Czech Republic in connection with the production of feed. It gives information on the storage of feed materials, their use in nutrition. Students will gain knowledge in the field of compilation of feed recipes, their nutrient optimization, including advice on nutrition and feeding of farm animals.
Competence in the field of feed industry, production of feed mixtures, storage of feed materials, feed processing and quality limits. Competence in the use of additives, the ability to apply the principles of compilation using software and the principles of good manufacturing practice. Orientation in feed legislation in counseling and consulting activities.

Basics of Farm Animal Feeding and Nutrition.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

The course is completed by an exam, which precedes the continuous assessment. Successful evaluation of tests is required to complete the course.
