Course content
|
Animal health legislation. Animal protection at the moral, legal and economic levels. Health and disease. Diseases and their basic functional and morphological manifestations. Health and hygiene safety and biological value of food of animal origin. Current health situation in livestock breeding in the Czech Republic. The influence of animal husbandry technology on the incidence of infectious and non-infectious diseases. Conventional and unconventional procedures in animal health protection.

Learning outcomes
|
Present concept of health protection and prevention in animal diseases as a part of public health.
The student will gain advanced knowledge and skills in the prevention of livestock diseases and the impact of breeding technology on animal health. Students will use the acquired knowledge in agricultural practice in the detection and elimination of the cause of animal health disorders caused by both infectious agents and inappropriate breeding methods.

Knowledge of biology, zoology, animal breeding, zoohygiene and animal nutrition.

|
Oral examination, Seminar work
Compulsory participation in the consultations, preparation of a seminar work.
