Livestock breeding zoo-technics of bees: zoo-technical measures, nutrition 7. Animal breeding of bees: bee diseases, their prevention and therapy 8. Important zoo-technical aspects of breeding bees, breeds of bees, bee products 9. Introduction to breeding of fur animals 10. Animal breeding of fur animals: rabbit breeding 11. Animal breeding of fur animals: chinchilla breeding 12. Animal breeding of fur animals: breeding of nutrias 13. Breeding of pigeons 14. Repetition and final summary

Learning outcomes
The aim of the Special Animal Husbandry (KZVE / SPEC and KZVE / QSPEC) is to acquaint students with biological, zootechnical measures in fish farming, bees and fur animals (i.e. rabbits, chinchillas and nutrias/coypus). Main attention will be paid to basic biology (species and breeds), zootechnical measures in breeding and reproduction methods. The acquired knowledge then creates a logically connected whole and can be practically used in a breeding organization of a specific breeding.
Students will acquire basic knowledge about the biological essence of fish, bees, rabbits, nutrias, chinchillas and pigeons. It also obtains knowledge about basic breeding possibilities of them in the Czech Republic, including zootechnical measures.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biology, zoology, general zootechnics and genetics.

Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

Course credit award: Active participation in practical excercises (max. 1 excused absence) 3 credit tests (70 %) Exam: Writing test
