Course content
Assesment of nutriet digestibility, bilance experiments. Preparation, preservation and feeding of particular fodder kinds. Formation of feeding ration according to current feeding units. Formation of fodder mixtures, their rating and importace for particular categories of monogastric animals. Balance work of base material and economic rating of used mixture results. Feeding of single kinds and caregories of farm animals. Balance for livestock in farming business. Influence of nutrition and feeding for the economics production of animal product.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Individual tutoring

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the analysis of feed and the importance of individual nutrients in the body of monogastric animals. Knowledge focused on the specific action of stimulants for hygiene and protection of feed and animals with the possibility of specialization is deepening.
Competence on the importance and functions of essential nutrients in the animal organism. Ability to characterize feeds, suitability of classification for livestock. Competence for appropriate feed preparation in relation to individual species and categories of livestock. Ability to define nutrient and energy needs, including optimization of feed recipes.
Knowledge of high school chemistry, biology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Seminar work

The course is completed by an exam, which precedes the continuous assessment.
