Topics of lectures: 1. Introduction to the issue, definition of basic concepts. 2. Search for business opportunities. 3. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic and the EU, motivation for entrepreneurship. 4. Business plan. 5. Experience from business practice (lecture by an expert from practice). 6. Specifics of SME management. 7. Establishing a business, starting a business in the form of franchising. 8. Financial resources for start-up companies. 9. Start-ups. 10. Protection of intellectual property (patents, utility and industrial designs). 11. Current problems in SMEs (expert from practice) 12. Business support in the Czech Republic. 13. Termination of Business. Seminar topics: 1. Deadlines, requirements, motivation for business, examples from previous years 2. Presentation of a model company, possibilities of cooperation with Jaczech, brainstorming 3. Design thinking 4. Consultation after teams of business ideas - ideas and goals of student business teams 6. Presentation of business ideas in Power point to others (structure according to the model company) 7. Workshop on: marketing, legislation 8. Consultation by teams - tasks from marketing and legislation 9. Creation of selected chapters of the business plan 10. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to show the students the specifics and issues of small and medium-sized enterprises. From the very beggining of the company, its management to its ending. Students will get familiar with the business practice, acquire business competencies create and defend a business plan, which will be implemented in practice in the course Firma II.
Students will learn basic terminology related to small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship. They will have knowledge about the establishment of the company, its management and possible termination. They will be able to write a business plan that will be usible in practice.
