Learning outcomes
The student will receive new knowledge on the field of logistic management, realized in contemporary global environment. The basis of logistic management is created by two subjects: Logistics and Management of the logistic Chain. The main emphesis is given not on individual logistics problems, as inventory, warehousing, transport etc., but on the whole supply chain, which involves many suppliers and usually also many clients. Improving services demands to use new methods in information flow, as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), GPS (Global Positioning Systém), et others. All this must be well balanced, because logistic performance has two parts: provided services and costs.
Students will better understand the relations among all participants in the logistic Chain and the relations between logictics and manufacturing in contemporary global environment.
