Course content
Lectures: 1. Managerial Development Techniques I. (Manager Personality, Character, Temperament, Competence, Type of Personality, Type of Leader). 2. Managerial development techniques II. (Memory Technology, IQ and EQ, Fast Reading). 3. Research Techniques (Quantitative and Qualitative Research, Data Acquisition Methods). 4. Motivational Techniques (Classical Theories, Sugar and whip, Self-Theme Theory). 5. Time management techniques. (Generation of Time-Management, Circadian Rhythms, Eisenhower's Principle, Procrastination). 6. Negotiation Techniques (Preparation for discussion, argumentation, evidence, communication frame). 7. Decision Making Techniques I. (CBA, Power Field, Evaluation Matrix, Vroom and Yetton). 8. Decision Making Techniques II. (Five times why, Occam's razor, Relative bubble diagram, Decision trees, Six questions) 9. Idea Generation Techniques (Brainstorming, Brainwritting, Delphy, Mystical Maps, Ishikawa Diagram, NST). 10. Leadership Techniques (Adair, Covey, Authority). 11. Networking (networking, sharing, maintaining contacts). 12. Persuasion techniques (principles of rarity, similarity, simplicity). 13. The techniques of change (degradation and introduction of habits, habits, commercial use). 14. Free theme (new trends, a professional). Practical classes: Practical classes are related to practice and development of the techniques, in the form of workshops, case studies and exercises.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to get an overview of the importance, functions and main areas of application of the management techniques in the activities of a manager. The subject is focused on the introduction of techniques that can be applied not only in professional but also in personal life. The lectures are focused on the theoretical basis and different techniques; practice and development of the techniques are discussed in practical classes.
The students will understand the most important terminology and principles of effective managerial techniques. They will be able to successfully use managerial techniques within the organization to deal with customers of the organization.

Written examination

1.1. Credit requirements: - - To submit an essay that must be approved, see essay (individual part) - - Active participation in the practical classes; 2 absence allowed - - Credits will be awarded not earlier than 14 days before the end of the semester, in accordance with the dean's measure and the academic year schedule - The students are required to check the credits and the exam (stag, index) no later than 5 days after the deadline. 1.2. Exam: - Form: written test 7 min to 70% and oral exam - 3 attempts - The exams will be scheduled three weeks before the start of the exam period in sufficient number and capacity, or may take place within the 13th week of the semester to be modified based on a reasoned request from the students. - In the last but one week of the examination period, second attempts only are scheduled and the 3rd attempts only are scheduled in last week. - Exam topics will be published in Moodle in the 12th week. 1.3. An essay is chosen in Moodle from the 3rd to the 6th week of the term. - The individual part of the essay represents the processing of the selected topic, "List of topics" on Moodle. Min. 500 words (with margin of 2.5cm, line spacing 1, font calibri 11) with a minimum of 3 foreign sources (Resources can be found at: http: // www. Jstor.org/ and http: //web.a.ebscohost. com / - access only from the network of SBU) quoted according to the citation standard valid for final thesis on EF (http://www.ef.jcu.cz/education/studujici/aktuality-soubory/pozadavky-vskp-2013). - Work, diagrams, graphs, and pictures related to the subject can be used.
