Course content
1. Introduction to strategic management. 2. Vision, mission, goals, strategy. 3. General typology of strategies. 4. Extended typology of strategies. 5. Basic analysis of internal and external environment. 7. The influence of the manager on the strategy. 8. Business model. 9. The strategy implementation process. 10. BSC and KPI systems. 11. Extensive enterprise analyses. 12. SME strategy. 13. Learning organizations and corporate culture. 14. Current topic (new trends in strategic management).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
  • Preparation for classes - 15 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The students are acquainted with approaches and methods of strategic management as tools of effective utilization of firms' resources to achieve its objectives. The course presents theory and practical application of strategic management and introduces students to the basics of terminology, models and principles. Part of the contents of the course is based on the description of contemporary trends with their influence on long-term development of the firms. The students will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge about strategic management.
Students understand the basic principles of strategic management, they are able to use various methods of strategic management.
