Lectures: 1. Introduction to Strategic Management and Strategy . 2. Historical Background of Strategic Management. 3. The Strategic Planning Process. 4. Strategic decision-making. 5. Models of Strategic Management. 6. Integral model of strategic management. 7. Business Vision and Mission Statements. 8. Core Values, Core Purpose and Visionary goals. 9. Analysis of External Environment. PEST analysis, Model for industry analysis (Porter's five forces), Strategical maps. 10. Analysis of Internal Environment. Portfolio analysis. 11. Analysis of functional areas. SWOT analysis. 12. Analysis and process of evaluation of strategy. Implementation of strategy. 13. The basic approach to organization and motivation. 14. System balanced scorecard. Strategic control. Definition of relevant parameters. Types of measurement. Management of Changes.

Learning outcomes
The students will be acquainted with approaches and methods of strategic management as tools of effective utilization of firms' resources to achieve its objectives. The course presents theory and practical application of strategic management. Part of the contents of the course is based on the description of contemporary trends with their influence on long-term development of the firms. The students will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge about strategic management. Main Contents Introduction to Strategic Management.
