The aim of the subject is to extend the knowledge concerning new methods of production management, successfully tested in Japan in the second half of the 20th century. These findings are now applied, after comes correction, in different firms oriented on production or services and are the meaningful factor for improving firm´s competitiveness. Nowadays, thanks to the Industry 4.0 and process of robotization, digitization and artificial intelligence, lean manufacturing methods are also used in intelligent (smart) factories.
Students will understand the principles of so called "Japanese miracle", realized firstly at Toyota car production and also mistakes of western managers who tried to copy these methods and present them without deeper analysis. Lectures are closely joined Lean production in the firm BOSCH C. Budejovice and other firms and so it makes possible to receive a broad survey of new methods in organization of labour and production.
