Course content
1. Introduction to the content and conditions for passing the course. Introduce yourself. 2. World social problems - Muniature Earth project. 3. Famous people. My idols. 4. Environment conservation, the impact of tourism. 5. Money - history and present. 6. New technologies - friend or enemy? 7. My fears and phobias. 8. Copyright - crime or every day reality. 9. Learning outcomes
The course aims to improve students' ability to communicate in fluent English, to describe more complex events and phenomena, and to express their opinions about current society, social, religious or cultural issues.
Students will improve their comprehension to spoken English, extend their passive and active vocabulary in social, religious and cultural areas. They will practice and develop their ability to express themselves promptly and naturally in these areas. They will learn how to present a chosen topic in the form of an English Powerpoint presentation.
Prerequisites
Speaking skills on the intermediate level. Students who are not capable of communicating on this level will be eliminated during the opening lesson.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's language skills

70% attendance. 10-minutes long English presentation in Powerpoint.
