Learning outcomes
The main aim of the course English Language 2 (OJA/ANJ2) is to build on student´s actual language skills, to enlarge his grammar make-up, general vocabulary and extend the basic professional vocabulary in student´s field of study so that he or she would be able to understand a professional text, and communicate and study in an English-speaking country.
Students are supposed to improve their language skills - speaking, reading, listening, writing, and will extend general as well as the professional vocabulary.
Prerequisites
Pre-condition - successful passing of the course English Language 1 (OJA/ANJ1).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Analysis of student's language skills, Test

70% attendance Whole-semester activity My English Project - How I Tried to Improve My Passive English - write and hand out a short report (max. one page A4) about volunatary home activities of any kind or form leading to improving your passive English till the beginning of the exam term. Written test 70% Final oral exam: Simple professional presentation in Powerpoint - cca 10-15 min on random professional topic close to student's field of study (see video http://youtu.be/hl6oodbx-pc).
