Course content |
1.Introductory seminar on course content, prerequisites, and related administrative practice How to get measurable and achievable goals of practicum? 2. Direct practice in the workplace. Application procedures adopted theoretical part of the course and in other articles (Developmental Psychology, Spiritual needs in Old Age and The Memory training for the elderly) Development of the personal and professional skills of the student. 3. Individual communication with respect to the kind of practice.

Learning outcomes |
The aim is to get theoretical knowledge and practical experience in adult education, verification and application of theoretical knowledge in the practical work with hte Elderly. The course comprises a series of seminars and direct experience in the field.
Students get understanding the concept of Active aging in relation to life satisfaction the Elderly. They become familiar with the current practice of activation programs for seniors, tehy will able to discuss their possibilities and limits. Depending on the workplace expand their competencies towards the target group of the Elderly. They will be able to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. They will be able to establish a workable and measurable professional and personal goals and find a way to meet them in direct practice in the workplace. They will be able to reflect the knowledge in written and oral form. |
Prerequisites |
Conditioning the subject is passing General and Developmental Psychology and concurrently or previously completed course the Group and Individual Memory Training for th Elderly and Spiritual Needs in Old Age. Course is buliding on the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills gained in these two subjects.

- Participation in the introduction seminar - Leaving the completed contracts for practice. - Completion of professional practice 60 hours per semester. - Writing a report from practice by the teacher's instructions, including the final evaluation of the student's practice by a competent person. |
