Course content

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is the orientation in different varieties of the German language, and their differences in the lexicon (German, Austrian and Swiss variety), with a consequent enlargement of the student's ability to understand texts realized just on the base of different varieties of German.
The course gives the student an overview of the history of the German language in the context of the emergence of regional differences. On the basis of obtained overview of the differences in the lexicon of the individual varieties the student will be able to easy orientation in the texts of the German, Austrian and Swiss German, as well as in the speeches of spoken language.
Prerequisites
Passing of the course assumes completed Bachelor's degree study of the German language (or in the German language) and language level B2-C1 of the CEFR.

Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills, Test

Test. Regular preparation of students to seminars, active participation in seminars. Performance of continuously input tasks. Attendence to the seminars 70%.
