1. Definition of the terms professional language and professional communication, the professional language from the point of view of stilistics 2. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the specifics of German professional language and broaden in that way their language competence. The aim of this course is therefore to point out the specific features of the German vocational language, namely on a background of standard German, with the involvement of the German corpus (IDS) and parallel corpora (Intercorp) into teaching.
The students widen their language competence in the field of professional language, in the field of communication at the professional level, also among professionals and non-professional public, it means in the field of popularization. Using corpora in teaching will gain an overview about the occurrence of professional linguistic phenomena and their frequency within individual levels of language.

Prerequisites
|
Passing of the course assumes completed Bachelor's degree study of the German language (or in the German language) and proficiency level B2/C1 of the CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills
Presentation of the particular topic, written exam. Active participation on the classwork, working on the continuously given tasks, individual solving of chosen problems.
