The aim is to convey the understanding that the perspective of literary history (the history of literature by epoch) is not the only possible model of literature classification, but that there are other approaches. Students will compare the advantages and disadvantages of individual approaches and recognize that a synthetic approach is more appropriate and adequate than individual isolated methods.
