Learning outcomes
Lecture and seminar are focusing on the cultural history of the German speaking countries: Germany, Austria and Switzerland, beginning with 18th century till the developments in central europe after 1989 and in the context of postmodernism. Both are focused on the speaking and understanding abilities of the students with regard to history of culture. A special knowledge of terms and words from this field is further goal.
Basic orientation on history of culture from enlightenment to present days in germanspeaking countries. This leads to better understanding of recent tendencies inside Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Language skills for understanding main tendencies of German Culture during the centuries.
