Course content
1. Introduction to the course and problems, basic information, classification of verbs, the German corpora 2. Regular and irregular verbs, modal verbs 3. Verbs with separable prefix, imperative verbs 4. Reflexive verbs, infinitives, participles 5. Time forms of verbs: present, perfect, preterite, pluperfect 6. Passive, subjunctive 7. Valence verbs, verb functional mechanisms 8. Nouns (n-variation), Valence nouns 9. Adjectives (valence adjectives) 10. Pronouns (personal, reflexive, indefinite) 11. Numbers, cardinal numbers vs. numerical adverbs 12. Flexionless words (prepositions, conjunctions) 13. Geographical names, proper names

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
In the lectures, students will be introduced to the issue of German morphology according to current standards. The seminars will be practicing topics with particular emphasis on the application of grammar in written and oral expression. The aim of lectures and seminars is to improve theoretical knowledge of German morphology and also the communication skills of students, followed by reaching output levels B1-B2 CEFR. Students will learn to use the portals designed for self-study German grammar and to search in the German corpora.
Students will be able to to understand German grammar system use correct grammar in their own texts.
Prerequisites
The course assumes a basic overview and a good knowledge of the German language

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills

Attendance 80%, written exam. Performance of continuously input tasks.
