Learning outcomes
The course emphasizes the deepening of knowledge in the field of dramatic creation, not only from the theoretical but also from the practical point of view. Students will be introduced to the functioning and preparation of a theatre performance from the initial organization through the adaptation of the script to the actual planning of the production. An important part of the course is the illustration of the individual steps with examples from the field of German-language theatre. In this respect, the course offers students the opportunity to put into practice their own creative solutions to the various steps involved in a theatre production. The aim of the course is to define and present the nature of theatre production and its preparation on the basis of theoretical and practical examples.
Students will gain insight into the workings of dramatic production and will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge to their own artistic work. In addition, students will gain experience in the design and organisation of a theatre project.
