Content of lectures: Students will get advanced knowledges in wireless network configuration, management and principes. Practical exercises will be focused on working with latest present wireless technologies. Networks based on standards IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15 Basics of wireless networks Antennas and types of wireless networks Architecture IEEE 802.11, beacons IEEE 802.11 types of frames, media access mechanisms (CSMA/CA), monitoring Wireless security - Wireless equivalent privacy (WEP), Wireless protected access (WPA/WPA2) Practical exercise: How to create wireless sensor network ? Authentication in wireless networks (802.1x) Logical link control (IEEE 802.2) Low/high rate wireless personal networks Wireless sensor networks Hardware of devices in wireless sensor networks Bluetooth and zigbee networks basics Routing in wireless adhoc networks Security in wireless sensor networks Location problem and his solution in wireless sensor networks Wireless network simulator and simulations Content of practicals: How to create wireless sensor network?
