Course content
|
The subject includes topics - Objectives of teaching the subject of informatics. Teaching content. - Teaching methods using ICT, programs, applications, means of informatics at school. - Didactic principles and their use in informatics. New means of communication. - Tutorials and multimedia programs. - Computer aided education in high school. Use of Internet and LMS systems in education. Advantages and disadvantages. Online education in high school. Disabled students involved in teaching. - Preparation of a lesson of a selected subject using all available ICT resources. - Projects and project teaching using ICT, internet and e-mail. - Problems of ergonomics and hygiene of teaching with the use of ICT and computers. Content - Pedagogical and didactic principles of teaching informatics. - User, algorithmic and project approach. - Study programs for teaching informatics and computer technology at secondary schools. - Computer classroom management. - Illustrative aids, teaching software, volume licensing. - Methodical elaboration of individual chapters of basic courses (computer architecture, design of algorithms and programming, operating systems, computer networks and Internet).

Learning outcomes
|
In the subject Didactics of Informatics, students will get acquainted with methodological recommendations for teaching informatics and computer technology at secondary and primary schools. Students will also gain information about the curricula of subjects dealing with informatics at various types of secondary schools (grammar schools, secondary vocational schools, secondary industrial schools) and according to these curricula they will learn to create their own curricula.
The graduate will: - know methodological recommendations for teaching informatics and computer technology at secondary and primary schools; - to orientate oneself in the curricula of subjects dealing with informatics at various types of secondary schools; - able to create their own curricula; - able to present the assigned topic in the form of teaching in high school.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment
Outputs in the range of 30 - 45 minutes. Discussion and evaluation of individual outputs or students will be given topics in the field of informatics and computer technology. The student will methodically process these topics and present them in the form of teaching in high school. At the end of the presentation, there is an evaluation of how the topic was properly taught from a professional and didactic point of view.
