Course content
Content of lectures: WAN technologies and its services (VoIP & Video over IP). Configuration and administration of DNS and DHCP servers on routers. Management and administration of ACLs on Cisco routers. PPP configuration on Cisco routers. Frame Relay technology and its implementation on Cisco routers. Implementation problems and their solutions in WAN networks. Content of practicals: WAN technologies and its services (VoIP & Video over IP). Configuration and administration of DNS and DHCP servers on routers. Management and administration of ACLs on Cisco routers. PPP configuration on Cisco routers. Frame Relay technology and its implementation on Cisco routers. Implementation problems and their solutions in WAN networks.

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with a basic WAN networks, and basic switch and routers configuration, so they can cooperate and work together in WAN networks.
After successful completion of this course, students will have: - Advanced setup and management of routers. - Advanced knowledge of L3 protocols. - Be able to secure the network infrastructure in a basic way. - Have knowledge of WAN protocols and its configuration.
Prerequisites
Very good knowledge of networks and advanced English language skills. Successfully completed Cisco Academy I, II and III.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Test

Successful completion of the final theoretical test to at least 80%, passing the practical part of the exam.
