Content of lectures: 1. Explanation of the issue of Criminalistics - statutory provisions, overview of the subject 2. Structure of executive agencies of the Police in the Czech Republic, riot police X Criminal police and Investigation service, structure of Criminal police and Investigation service 3. Divisions of crimes (general crime, economic crime) 4. Profiles of offenders according to type of crime, analysis of the most common offences in general and in ICT 5. Profile of offenders of economic crimes 6. Profile of offenders of moral crimes in general and in ICT (child pornography, etc.) 7. Profile of offenders of general crimes (drugs, thefts, burglary, etc.) 8. Analysis of crime in relation to information technology (not only information crimes, but also for example in the case of murder, accidents, etc. 9. Analysis of hardware technologies, possibility of misuse of technology for general crimes 10. Forms of information criminality - analysis of individual types of crimes with IT 11. Information criminality - Hacker atacks, moral crimes, etc. 12. Overview of information technology exploited for criminal activities - home crimes, Internet crimes, economic crimes, etc. and their consequences 13. Overview of information crimes in relation to teaching - juvenile delinquency, threat of youth and its consequences 14. Analysis of Copyright act, Electronic Communications Act, etc., legal possibilities of bodies responsible for penal proceedings 15. Procedures and policies of bodies responsible for penal proceedings, police, to resolve individual types of crimes in general and in according to ICT 16. Methods of protection against information crimes (economic crimes, Internet crimes), overview of damages and consequences 17. Duties and cooperation of people in solving crimes in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure 18. Duty of Internet service providers and operators of Internet portals in solving Internet crimes in the Czech Republic, responsibility of operators of Internet portals for their content. cooperation with international security forces 19. Introduction to forensic investigation in general and investigation of information technologies (computer technology, mobile technology, etc.) - used techniques, principles and technologies, principles of making expert opinions Content of practicals Individual exercises will directly follow the lectures, there will be virtually resolved individual lines memorized.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is a basic introduction to the functioning of the police in solving crimes. The course provides a basic introduction to the Service of Criminal Police and Investigation, with tasks related to its structure. Another aim is to acquaint students with basic procedures and statutory provisions which must be police control, its limitations and powers. Subject also provides a basic overview of the separation of types of criminal activity both at the level offenders and specific investigations and investigation of crime. Furthermore, the module will provide information about possible criminal activity emerging in the field of information technology and the Internet and their implications.
