Course content
Content of the lecture: 1. History and present of electronic banking 2. ICT system in the bank and logical connection of ELB services to the system 3. Security requirements for electronic banking 4. Electronic communication channels 5. Payment services 6. Basic processes of electronic banking 7. Applied technologies 8. Problems and weaknesses of electronic banking 9. Electronic banking solutions and applications 10. Examples of applications, use for banking client segments

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with the basic concepts of electronic banking. Graduates of the course should acquire knowledge about the spectrum of services called electronic banking. Credit cards, telephone banking, internet banking, smartbanking and ELB services for corporate and SME clients. The individual parts are devoted to familiarization with the complex scheme of IT systems of the bank and logical connection of ELB services to this system, ways of securing ELB services, legislation, as well as segments of banking clientele in view of basic features of ELB services for these segments.
Graduates will gain an overview of the comprehensive offer of electronic banking services, the history of development of individual types of services and their current form. The importance of technological development for changes in ELB services and their new possibilities. A comprehensive view of the breadth of ICT systems in a regular bank and the integration of ELB services into this system. They will gain further knowledge in the field of security and tools for ELB authentication and authorization, the legislative basis of the field and many other knowledge.
Prerequisites
The course introduces the area of electronic banking and does not require specific input knowledge. An advantage can be personal experience with using electronic banking services in personal life.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

To admit a student to the exam, it is necessary to attend lectures. In case of excused absence, the student receives the study material electronically and the form of self-study is allowed.
