Course content
1. TeX a LaTeX, history, mutual relation, characteristics 2. Basics of writing in LaTeX, formatting of document 3. Formats of fonts, colours usage 4. Creation of tables 5. Writing of mathematical formulas 6. Drawing and vector graphics 7. Inserting of bitmap pictures 8. Creation of prezentations in LaTeX using Beamer

Learning outcomes
The course concerns electronic publishing that uses typesetting programme TEX and especially its variation LaTEX. Students will learn basis of this programme usage during the course. The main focus is on typesetting of the tables and mathematical text. Basic typographical rules will also be presented.
The student will learn the basics of the LaTeX system, that enable him to write Thesis in this system.
Prerequisites
The topic not claim any specific skills, but the work with PC and internet in common.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar work

Student will use LaTEX for typesetting of any essay of minimal length of three pages. It can be an essay for the other course.
