1. Money - history, function. 2. Theory of current value. 3. Monetary theory and policy. 4. Financial markets and system. 5. Banking system and his regulation. 6. Organisation, management 7. The economy of banks - costs, revenues, assets and liabilities. 8. Banking products - credit. 9. Banking products - deposit. 10. Non-bank financial intermediaries. 11. Basic characteristics and instruments of payment and settlement transactions, its financing. 12. Non-documentary payment instruments. 13. Documentary payment instruments. 14. Electronic banking. Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basics theory in banking - development of money, monetary policy, banking system and principles of his functioning. Other part of the course is focus on payment operations (financial transfers) - his instruments and sources.
Students understand the basic principles of banking and payment operations (transfers).

Credit Requirements: - Active course attendance, 80% at least. - Successful completion of one test - 60%, one possible correction test - Presentation of an essay Examination Requirements: - Passing an oral exam
