The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles and concepts of Anglo-American prosody and poetics and with selected theoretical approaches to reading and analyzing poetry written in English. The core of the course is the reading of both poetical and theoretical and critical texts and the application of different theoretical approaches to particular poetic texts.
