The course builds on Business English I and further develops students' language competence in Business English at upper-intermediate level. Emphasis is placed on advanced communication skills in professional contexts, particularly strategic discussion, problem-solving, negotiation, working with data, and presentation skills. The course is based on the second half of Business Result (Second Edition, Upper-Intermediate). Team project work focuses on the preparation and implementation of a simulated business negotiation in which students formulate and defend their positions, respond to proposals from the other party, and work towards a mutually acceptable solution.
By the end of the course, students will be able to: - communicate confidently in a range of professional business situations - analyse and describe data using appropriate language - negotiate and justify strategic decisions - evaluate business performance and discuss trends - deliver a structured, evidence-based business presentation - respond effectively to questions and critical feedback
