Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Laboratory, Experiment
  • Preparation for credit - 6 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 36 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Technical and didactic aspects of experiments are discussed. Students will be able to practice fancy yet simple experiments in laboratory exercises and learn about experiments in the following areas: technique of work and manipulation with chemicals, safe conducting of experiments, color chemistry, motivation experiments (also fire, explosive) and other effect experiments. Lectures are accompanied by practical demonstrations. Safety rules are always respected in all attempts.
Students in laboratory exercises try out simple experiments, which are suitable and can be used in teaching chemistry at primary and secondary schools.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of secondary school chemistry and biochemistry is a minimum requirement for students.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar work, Interim evaluation

To obtain the credit, students must actively participate in seminars and submit a seminar paper on a given topic.
