Course content
The aim of the course is to improve the secondary-school knowledge in the field of solving the essential model exercises. The basic terms will be recapitulated and inorganic nomenclature will be practiced. Model exercises dedicated to the preparation of solutions, calculation of concentrations, composition and dilution of solutions will be solved. The attention will be closely focused on chemical equations and stoichiometry.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), E-learning, Individual preparation for exam
Learning outcomes
Recapitulation and improvement of secondary-school knowledge in the field of chemical calculations and nomenclature of inorganic compounds.
Nomenclature of inorganic chemistry - traditional, according to the IUPAC. Chemical calculations in inorganic chemistry (composition of compounds, mixtures, solutions; saturated solutions and crystallization, chemical equations, stoichiometric calculations, ideal gas equation).
Prerequisites
Basic secondary school level knowledge.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test

More than 50% of each part of the final test.
