Graduates of the Laboratory Diagnostics programme will rarely meet patients. However, on a daily basis they will examine and measure various parameters that reflect the functions of the patient's body. For the proper performance of their profession, it is essential that they know exactly how the values were created and what they mean. The course of Physiology will enable them to gain a comprehensive overview of the functioning of the human organism.
The student is able to demonstrate (both in oral and written form) sufficient knowledge in the fields of: - physiological processes in the human body, including their interrelationships and regulatory mechanisms; - the physiological values of measurable manifestations of these processes and functions.
