Course content
Solving complex problems from following branches of physics: - mechanics - molecular and thermal physics - electricity and magnetism (part I; part II will be covered in the follow-up course Solving physics problems for high school II.)

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Graphic and art activities, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies), Flipped classroom
  • Preparation for classes - 40 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The objective of this course is to widen the students' abilities to solve complex and difficult physics problems.
ability to solve difficult and complex high-school physics problems (mainly from branches: mechanics, molecular physics and heat, electricity and magnetism)
Prerequisites
ability to solve simple and normal physics problems on high-school level (from all branches of physics) and university level (mechanics, molecular physics and heat, electricity and magnetism)

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Systematic student observation, Self-reflection, Interim evaluation

regular presence (absence at one exercise tolerated), performance of solutions to problems in font of peers
