Course content

Learning outcomes
The course provides basic knowledge of the theory of electrical machines and skills of their calculation, involvement and testing. Ability to choose the electric drive for an engineering application. Knowledge of electrical wiring and appliances nn enabling its framework proposal and safe work.
The students will acquire basic knowledge of the theory of electrical machines and circuits. They will be able to calculate electrical circuits, together with practical connection and testing. Gained knowledge will make them competitive to choose the electric drive in practice, under the basic safety rules.
Prerequisites
basic knowledge of mathematics and physics (focused on electricity and magnetism), basic matematics skills

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Understanding of the topic within the frame given by the plan. Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: credit: attendance of seminars, min 75%, passing the test to min 75%. exam: passing the test min 75%, proof of knowledge at the oral exam min 75%.
