Learning outcomes
The aim of the physics course for biologists is to acquaint students of biological disciplines with the physical principles and laws relevant to the field of study. Another goal is to supplement and expand the knowledge acquired in high school, so that they are able to actively apply this knowledge in practical activities within their fields of study and their own practice after graduation.
By completing the physics course for biologists, students will gain knowledge of physics at a level that allows them to apply this knowledge in biology. Knowledge of physical principles and solving a sufficient number of sample tasks will enable students to apply the acquired knowledge to solve practical tasks in related subjects and subsequent practice after graduation.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite of the course is the ability to understand the written text, basic knowledge of mathematics at the secondary school level or a mathematics course for biologists.
Assessment methods and criteria
Test, Interim evaluation
At least 75% attendance at lectures and seminars is required to obtain the credit. The exam is performed by a test, at least 70% of the questions must be answered correctly to pass the test.
