Course content
Lenses, aberration. Measuring the focal length of the lens by different methods. Study basic parameters of the telescope. Wedge-shaped, and planparallel plate. Interference spherical and plane waves. Michelson interferometer. Measurement of photosensitive elements. Spectral sensitivity of the detectors. Frequency dependence of wattmeter. Wavelength of spectral lines. Change in the index of refraction, Faraday effect. Measurement of light speed.

Development of laboratory protocols

For successful passing of the course the student has to perform eight experiments and elaborate eight protocols. The minimal requirements for the protocols are available on e-learning web pages.
