The aim is to present complex problems of polymeric materials; their basic physico-chemical properties, production, and preparation of polymer materials. The important part is to introduce the thermal treatment of plastics and their processing by injection, stamping, extrusion, etc. together with the introduction of the basic mechanisms, principles and relevant machinery. Another aim is to introduce surface treatment of polymer materials.
Students will get knowledge of polymeric materials; their basic physico-chemical properties, production, and preparation. An integral part of the acquired knowledge is thermal treatment of plastics and their processing by injection, stamping, extrusion, etc. together with basic mechanisms, principles and relevant machinery. In addition, students will know the basic surface treatments of polymeric materials.
