Course content
Defining the term "the long"19th century. Literature on history of the 19th century. Sources to the history of the 19th century.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
  • Preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The workshop improves the historian's methodological skills, as applied on particular problems of the 18th and 19th centuries. The seminar also concentrates on methodology and thematic possibilities of modern history.
The student masters the work with the 18th and 19th century sources and the methodology of the modern history.
Prerequisites
Knowledge obtained during the bachelor study of History.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview

Active participation in the seminars, presentation, attendance to lessons, no more than 4 missed lessons
