Learning outcomes
|
The course is focused on professional vocabulary and communication. At the end of the course, students will be able to work with the professional literature, i.e. search for information, manage situations that require communication and present their professional knowledge.
Ability to use professional vocabulary. Studying academic literature. Development of communicative skills in English using discussions and presentations. Expressing and defending opinions in English. Using grammar included in the topics.

Prerequisites

Initial knowledge of the language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Analysis of student's language skills, Test
Requirements for course credit: A minimum of 70% active participation in seminars (work with instructional materials, engagement in professional discussion, and demonstration of the ability to present a subject-specific topic corresponding to the focus of the study program in English) and successful completion of the credit test covering the prescribed curriculum with a minimum score of 70%. Exam requirements: The student must demonstrate the ability to prepare, structure, and present a subject-specific topic in English corresponding to the focus of the study program, as well as the ability to lead a professional discussion on the topic.
