Learning outcomes
|
Teaching professional language is focused on mastering basic professional vocabulary of health care and social sphere.
1SP The course is focused on the study field vocabulary and practical professional communication. At the end of the course, students will be able to work with professional literature in English, i.e. they will be able to search for relevant information, manage situations where communication is necessary and which the students will face during their studies and future professions, and present their professional knowledge.

Prerequisites

1SP Initial knowledge of the language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Analysis of student's language skills, Test
Credit (zápočet) Credit will be granted upon successful completion of the course requirements (presence and active participation in class debates, presentations regarding given topics, final written test). Exam (zkouška) The examination is based on a PP presentation regarding an assigned topic related to the student's programme and a subsequent discussion.
