Course content
|
The aim of this subject is to show how to exploit IT in a user-friendly manner covering the topics most advantageous for the students? needs. Covered themes: Introduction of hardware and software for PC. Basic principles of PC. Operational system ? basic principles (Windows, Linux). Commercial programs and their non-commercial alternatives. Administration techniques in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Scientific literature databases. Citation rules.

After successful completion of the subject the student should be able to use modern information and communication technologies both in his/her future studies and career.
