Course content
The aim of this subject is to show how to exploit IT in a user-friendly manner covering the topics most advantageous for the students? needs. Covered themes: Introduction of hardware and software for PC. Basic principles of PC. Operational system ? basic principles (Windows, Linux). Commercial programs and their non-commercial alternatives. Administration techniques in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Scientific literature databases. Citation rules.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)
  • Preparation for classes - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 5 hours per semester
Learning outcomes

basic knowledge of PC and MS Windows operating system
