Course content
Lectures 1. Premunition 2. Immunopathological humoral reactions 3. Immunopathological reactions mediated by cells 4. Autoimmunity immunopathological conditions, inductions, effector mechanisms 5. Primary immunodeficiency 6. Secondary immunodeficiency 7. AIDS 8. CVID 9. Tumour immunity. 10. Transplantation. 11. Modulation of immunity system 12. Presentation of own works. Laboratory exercises 1. Familiarization with laboratory and organization of laboratory work 2. Preparation of ELISA tests 3. Preparation of fluorescent preparations 4. Work with fluorescent microscope 5. Foundations of work with through-flow cytometer 6. Diagnostics of infectious diseases with the help of through-flow cytometer 7. Diagnostics of blood malignities on through-flow cytometer 8. Diagnostics of auto-antibodies 9. Interpretation of positive findings of system auto-antibodies 10. Interpretation of positive findings of tissue-specific auto-antibodies 11. Interpretation of results of humoral immunity 12. Interpretation of results of cellular immunity

Learning activities and teaching methods
Laboratory
Learning outcomes
The student gets grasp of immunopathological conditions and of displays of immunopathological conditions in parameters of humoral and cellular immunity.
Students will have an overview of immunopathological conditions and how they are reflected in the parameters of immunologic laboratory tests.
Prerequisites
Conditioning subjects: ULZ/HIMUL (KLI/HIMUL), ULZ/HMIK2 Student should manage bases haematology and microbiology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Requirements for granting the credit: pass examination tests, achieving minimally 14 points (maximally 20 points) maximally one absence with leave from exercises Requirements for granting the exam: The exam has oral form, it includes a question from general and clinical immunology and a question related to laboratory examination methods
