Course content
Seminars: 1.-2. Descriptive statistics and graphical presentation of various types of data. 3.-4. Hypotheses testing using cathegorical and scale variables. 5.-6. Dependence of cathegorical and scale variables. 7.-12. Statistical analysis of students' bachelor theses data. There are classes in MS Excel and SPSS programmes. To successfully complete the course students are expected to perform a practical task in Excel (using the electronic lecture materials provided), which includes both descriptive statistics and hypotheses testing of various data types.

Learning outcomes
Training of statistical data analysis with emphasis on practical usage for bachelor thesis data processing.
Processing of various data types, hypotheses testing and results presentation not only for the bachelor thesis.
Prerequisites
Conditioning subjects: 0 User knowledge of MS Excel program; the use of own bachelor thesis data is recommended.

Student performance assessment, Test

Requirements for granting the credit: 90% attendance at seminars, teaching activity, practical task Students are evaluated according to their active participation in the lectures as well as via solving a short practical task.
