1. Anatomy of external and internal female genitals 2. The sexual cycle of a woman. The development and developmental disorders of female organs, sexual differentiation 3. Developmental defects of the female genitals and breasts 4. Gynaecological endocrinology and endocrinological diseases in women 5. Physiological periods of a woman's life and their disorders 6. Climacteric and menopause 7. Sexual behaviour and psychosomatics in gynaecology 8. Examination methods in gynaecology 9. Sterility and infertility. Ethical and legal aspects of modern reproductive medicine 10. Gynaecological inflammations 11. Endometriosis 12. Diseases of the mammary gland 13. Precancerous lesions of female genitals 14. Benign tumours of female genitals 15. Malignant neoplasms of female genitals 16. Trophoblastic disease 17. Gynaecological operations, instruments 18. Changes in genital position and urinary incontinence, uro-gynecology. Somato-sexual disorders 19. Sudden events in gynaecology 20. Gynaecology of children and adolescents

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical and practical unit for midwives and is one of the basic professional subjects for midwives. It introduces a wide range of knowledge in gynaecology and caring for women of all ages (healthy and ill). This course is followed by other professional subjects dealing with the individual needs of women.
The student: - is able to describe the anatomy of the external and internal female genitals - can explain the menstrual cycle - can define the periods of a woman's life and their disorders - can list the examination methods used in gynaecology - adequately uses the basic terminology of gynaecology - is able to describe individual diseases in gynaecology, their examination methods and treatment
