Learning outcomes
The teaching of the subject is focused on the care of patients with a threat to/failure of essential life functions and on specific and highly professional approaches in the care of the critically ill. In anaesthesiology, the student will learn the introductory general and local anesthesia procedures, the preoperative preparation requirements, perioperative and postoperative care, and pain management options. In intensive and resuscitation care, emphasis is placed on the basics of diagnosis, principles of continuous monitoring, treatment, and management of patients with failing vital functions, and the possibilities of bioengineered replacement of failing critical parts. - The student will learn the concept of anesthesiology and intensive care - The student will learn about working in a multidisciplinary team - The student will learn about the specifics of nursing care for acute and critical conditions - The student will learn about highly specialized nursing care in A&E and ICU - The student/learner has knowledge of instrumentation in the ARO and ICU. - The student will learn to monitor vital signs in patients in the acute care setting. - The student will learn how to prepare the patient for emergency surgery. - The student will learn the nurse anesthetist's role in the operating room. - The student will learn to integrate theoretical and practical skills and attitudes in caring for acute and critical patients.
The student can identify the state of vital signs - The student has knowledge and skills in life-threatening conditions - The student is familiar with working in a multidisciplinary team - The student demonstrates knowledge of the specifics of nursing care for acute and critical conditions - The student is proficient in specialized nursing care in the A&E and ICU - The student has knowledge of instrumentation in the ARO and ICU. - The student can monitor vital signs in patients in acute care. - The student can describe a patient's preparationergency surgery. - The student can describe the nurse anesthetist's role operating room. - The student can relate theoretical and practical skills and attitudes in caring for acute and critical patients.
