Course content
1. The first impression, awareness of the elements of social communication, oral introduction. Pedagogy and its relation to caring for the ill. 2. Non-verbal communication - mimics, proxemics, haptics, gestures, eye contact, posture. 3. Verbal communication, paralinguistics. Didactic analysis and its application in the educational activity of a non-medical professional. 4. Difference of perception of verbal and non-verbal impression. Training of self-reflection, feedback. 5. Manipulative behaviour and coping with it using the elements of assertive communication. Training of self-reflection, feedback. 6. Communication while providing care to a blind client. 7. Communication while providing care to deaf, dumb, and mentally disabled clients. Educational training for working with the disabled. 8. Communication with a senior, the disabled. Training of self-reflection, feedback. 9. Communication while caring for a child patient, communication with a relative, educational training.
