Topics 1. Selected Diagnostic Methods in Surgical Nursing (1 hour) 2. Selected Nursing Procedures in Surgical Nursing (1 hour) 3. Preoperative Preparation for Selected Surgical Procedures (1 hour) 4. Perioperative Care from the Nurse?s Perspective (1 hour) 5. Postoperative Care After Selected Surgical Procedures (1 hour) Learning outcomes: 1. Prepare the general nurse for specialized nursing care provided to patients with surgical diseases?before, during, and after the surgical procedure 2. Deepen knowledge and skills necessary for ensuring specialized nursing care for patients during the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases?before, during, and after surgery 3. Learn the basics of assessing the current health status of patients with surgical diseases 4. Become familiar with comprehensive surgical treatment procedures and physician?s orders for various clinical conditions 5. Apply acquired knowledge of complex treatment procedures for specific clinical conditions in practice 6. Learn targeted patient education, including educating the family or caregivers, and understand the interdisciplinary relationships among various clinical subjects.
