Course content
|
1. Subordinate sentences: clasification, different conception of complex sentences in Czech and Spanish linguistic tradition. 2. Complex sentences: subordinated and coordinated, principal and subordinated clauses. 3. Relation among sentences. 4. Subordinated sentences, use of tenses and moods. 5. Subject and object subordinated sentences. 6. Relative and atributive sentences. 7. Adverbial local and temporal clauses. 8. Adverbial clauses: modal, final, causal, conditional, concesive, consecutive, comparative.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to deepen the knowledge in the field of syntax, both in theoretical and practical aspects. The course builds on the knowledge acquired in the bachelor's study, focuses on aspects of interpropositional syntax, especially of the contrastive aspect.
Students will understand the relations among sentence constituents and evaluate the possibilities of the different theories of syntax description, and apply them in analysis.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Spanish syntax, corresponding to the Bachelor study of a philological study program.

Test, Seminar work, Interim evaluation
The following requirements must be met to successfully complete the course: - Regular attendance (tolerated 3 absences); - 4 tasks (specification in Moodle ); - reading (specifications in Moodle); - final written exam.
