Course content
|
Students learn to talk about their hobbies, to give and ask for opinions, to compare the advantages and disadvantages, to talk about their holidays, to tell about their experiences, to understand short news stories and evaluate the questionnaire. They can understand to written or spoken texts of personal nature and vocabulary related to that areas. Vocabulary: hobbies, holidays and leisure, media, weather, etc. Practicing pronunciation. Students will learn to write short, simple texts, for example short notes and messages, a very simple personal letter such as thanking someone for something.

Learning outcomes
|
The main course objective is to develop and deepen language competencies such as vocabulary or grammar. One of the targets is to understand more complex texts and longer listening activities in order to gradually increase the resulting knowledge to Upper elementary level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Communicating and engaging in simple and routine situations. Exchanging information on familiar subjects, defending personal opinions, describing surroundings, communicating personal information and immediate needs. Writing personal letters.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination
Regular attendance, active participation, individual homework, home study. Written tests and final exam at A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
