1.-2. Module 3. Lesson 7: ?Cómo te ha ido el día?" Compound Past Tense I. 3.-4. Lesson 8: Experiencias alucinantes." Compound Past Tense II. Textual connectors - extension. 5.-6. Lesson 9: Ser o estar, esa ha sido siempre la cuestión." The construction "estar + gerund." 7.-8. Module 4: Lesson 10: Y de repente se apagó la luz. Simple past tense (regular verbs). 9.-10. Lesson 11: Descubriendo el mundo. Simple past tense (irregular verbs). 11.-12. Lesson 12: La vida es una caja de sorpresas. The basic difference between the simple and compound past tenses. 13. Review and consolidation. Review and reinforcement of language structures, integration of skills.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to build on the basic language knowledge and skills acquired in the previous course and to further develop students' communication skills toward the A2+ level. Emphasis is placed on expanding vocabulary, reinforcing grammatical structures, and developing fluency in both spoken and written expression. The course is based on the Descubre textbook and links language structures to practical communication situations.
- The student describes basic language skills (pronunciation, spelling, elementary grammatical structures, and vocabulary) at the A2 level. - The student identifies basic everyday communication situations and the language skills needed to handle them (greetings, introductions, asking for information, etc.). - The student characterizes simple language structures and their function in basic communication situations. - The student applies the acquired language skills in simple oral and written expressions. - The student uses basic communication strategies when communicating in everyday situations.

Prerequisites
|
Prior knowledge of another Romance language is an advantage, as the course may be taught by native Spanish speakers.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Interim evaluation
1) Regular attendance (up to 3 absences permitted). 2) Completion of assigned tasks (both in class and as homework). 3) A combined exam at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Exam dates will be announced during the exam period in accordance with the Faculty of Arts, University of South Bohemia (JU) schedule. Requirements for JU students participating in the Erasmus+ program (study mobility or internship) for whom this course cannot be recognized as another course completed at a foreign university: 1) Self-study of the material covered in class (pre-arranged consultations are available during office hours) 2) Passing a comprehensive exam upon return from the study abroad/internship (by the deadline specified in the schedule for the given academic year).
