1. Theory of specialized text translation. Specific translation methods, semantic and grammatical interpretation, transposition, modulation, calque. 2. Analysis and translation of business law text. 3. Analysis and translation of administrative law text. 4. Analysis and translation of process law text.

The aim of the course is to confront students with basic linguistic properties of the professional French texts, with focus on the domain of law and administration. The course will help students to master basic practices needed for the fast and effective orientation in specialized texts and for the successful comprehension and basic work translation.
Ability to use professional texts, interiorisation of rules permitting effective work with these texts. |
